OBD2 står för On-Board Diagnostic och är ett diagnostiksystem för bilar.

OBD2 - test - Lotus Elise S2 -2003/4
Nu är första testet klar. 

Tänk på att testet grundar sig på att Lotusbilar.se vill få information från motorn (koder) men även under körning (realtidsdata) -hastighetsmätaren är av mindre intresse;)

För att du ska kunna använda OBD2 så måste du ha själva OBD2 adaptern och ett program eller mobil App för att se resultat. Lotusbilar.se vill ha ett program eller mobil App där man kan se coder/felrapport. Vi har tittat närmare på mobilappar och tycker att Torque är bästa valet för våran test. Du laddar ner Torque från din mobil, Play butik.

Det finns två versioner av Torque -en gratis och en med betalning. Lotusbilar.se provade båda och ser ingen anledning att man ska ladda ner gratis versionen, eftersom den inte uppfyller våran test och man kan inte se koderna. Lotusbilar.se anser att det är värt att betala 35 Skr för Torque -här får du allt, även kodläsning.

Tänk på att inställningarna måste vara rätt. Tryck på "setting" sedan "OBD2 Adapter Settings
1. "Connection Type" måste vara inställt på "Bluetooth"
2. "Choose Bluetooth Device" måste var inställt på "Bluetooth"
3. Se till att tändningen är på (motorn behöver inte vara igång)
4. Aktivera Bluetooth på din mobil, gör din mobil synlig för andra mobiler och sök efter "OBD2 och parkoppla.
5. Eventuellt så måste du slå in en kod "0000" eller "1234"
6. Klart.

*Notis. Se till att tändningen är på (motorn behöver inte vara igång). När tändningen är igång så börjar ECU med sensorinformation. När allt är korrekt ansluten, bör alla de blinkande ikonerna längst upp till vänster på huvudskärmen bli blå och inte blinka. Om det blinkar så är det ingen större fara, ECU söker och läser -men se till att dom blå ikonerna inte blinkar.

Remember that the test is based on Lotusbilar.se to receive information from the engine (codes) but also during the run (live data)-speedometer is of less interest;)

Now the first test done.
For you to be able to use OBD2 so you must have the OBD2 adapter and an app or mobile app to see results. Lotusbilar.se want a program or mobile app where you can see the coder / bug report. We have looked into the mobile apps and think Torque is the best choice for our test. You download the Torque from your mobile, play store.

There are two versions of the Torque - one free and one with payment. Lotusbilar.se tried both and see no reason that you should download the free version , since it does not meet our test and you can not see the codes. Lotusbilar.se think it is worth it to pay 35 Skr for Torque -here you get everything, including code reading.

Keep in mind that the settings must be right. Press the "setting" then "OBD2 Adapter Settings
1."Connection Type" must be set to "Bluetooth" 
2. "Choose Bluetooth Device" must was set to "Bluetooth" 
3. Make sure the ignition is on (engine does not need to be running) 
4. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile, your mobile phone visible to other mobiles and search for "Vgate and pair. 
5. Possibly you have to punch in a code "0000" or "1234" 
6. Ready

* Note. Make sure the ignition is on (engine does not need to be running). When the ignition is started so begins the ECU with sensor information. Once everything is connected properly, all the flashing icons on the top left of the main screen turn blue and not blinking. If it blinks, it's no more danger, ECU seeks and reads, but make sure that the two blue icons do not flash.

OBD2 -ELM327
För att du ska kunna kontrollera motorn elektroniska och läsa koder så måste du ha en adapter (OBD 2 / ELM 327) Bluetooth. Man kan säga att båda är lika, några säger OBD2 och andra säger ELM 327. Det finns fler modeller, Lotusbilar.se har dock valt en speciel modell som passar Lotus Elise S2, 2004. När du ska koppla adaptern ELM327 så ska du leta efter kopplingen (en hane) under ratten eller vid fotstödet. Om du har kopplat rätt så börjar ELM327 blinka, rött, gult och grönt. Om du tittar på mobiles App ( Torque ) så ser du fyra blåa ikoner, en av dessa liknar en bil -när bil ikonen har slutat blink så har du kontakt med bilens motor/ECU. Nu kan du börja läsa koder på App (Torque) -tryck på Fault Codes. Om du vill köpa en (ELM327 + program) som är kontrollerad och testad  så köp den >>här.




OBD2-ELM 327.

If you are watching Automobiles App (Torque) and you'll see four blue icons, one of which is similar to a car when the car icon has stopped flashing then you have contact with your car's engine / ECU. OBD2- Förlängningskabel/adapter

Lotusbilar.se hade tänkt att testa OBD2/ELM327 med dator.Eftersom jag inte vill köpa en nya dator till garaget så har jag valt att använda min gamla dator, därför måste jag köpa en bluetooth adapter, det gör jag >>här. Sedan vill jag förlänga OBD2-ELM327 kopplingen som ligger vid fotstödet med en förlängningsadapter så att bluetooth signalerna från OBD2-ELM327 får bättre kontakt med datorn och den köper jag >>här

Lotusbilar.se had intended to test OBD2/ELM327 with dator.Eftersom I do not want to buy a new computer to the garage so I have decided to use my old computer, so I have to buy a bluetooth adapter, I do >> here. Scan Tool
När du köper OBD2 Elise ELM327 så får du en cd med program -ett av dessa program heter "Scan tool.net". Detta program är väldigt bra, men du bör ha enklare datorkunskap för att kunna hantera och installera programet, men även att du förstår koder och informationen som du får via datorn. Om du endast ska läsa av koder/felkoder så är Torque mobilen lika bra. Lotusbilar.se anväder dock båda, men kan rekommendera Scan tool.net om du har möjligheter att ha en dator i garaget.

When you buy OBD2 ELM327 Elise to get a CD with software one of these programs is called "Scan tool.net". This program is very good, but you should have basic computer knowledge to handle and install the program, but also that you understand the codes and information you receive through your computer. If you're only going to read the codes / error codes so is the Torque App equally well. Uses the Lotusbilar.se however both, but can recommend Scan tool.net if you have the opportunity to have a computer in the garage.

Torque -coolt eller leksak?!
Som Lotusbilar.se nämnde tidigare så var koderna dom viktigaste detaljerna med testet. Om man tittar på helheten så är det en trevlig extra pryl som ger direkt information om hastigheten, kylaren mm. Lotusbilar.se kan dock erkänna att man inte tittar något nämnvärt på dessa trevliga detaljet när man kör -men, det ser ganska coolt ut med extra live information med Torque, därför är frågan om det en onödig leksak?

Betyg: Lotusbilar.se ser Torque som ett riktigt bra kod verktyg, vilket vi kan stark rekommendera -men, ser ocksåTorque som en cool onödigt verkyg under live körning, för du tittar ändå inte på informationen när du kör. Lotusbilar.se kan rekomenderar Torque när det gäller kod sökning och inget annat.

PS...och du, stirra inte på Torque när du kör -fokus på trafiken när du kör!   

Torque cool or toy?!
As Lotusbilar.se mentioned earlier codes were they important details of the test. If you look at the big picture, it's a nice extra gadget that gives direct information about the speed, the cooler and more. Lotusbilar.se can admit that you do not look anything significant on these nice detaljet when running-but, it looks pretty cool with additional live information with Torque, therefore, the question whether an unnecessary toy?

Rating: Lotusbilar.se looks Torque like a really good code tool, which we can recomend strong-but, also sees torque as a cool needless verkyg during live operation, for viewing still not on the information while driving. Lotusbilar.se can recommend Torque in terms of code search and nothing else

.... and you, do not stare at Torque while driving -focused on traffic when you driving!
